Guitarist Dzung has just released the album “2025′ – Good or not very good”, a musical product that marks the lands he has been to. Harmoniously combining modern sounds and folk materials, the album brings a musical space that is both familiar and new, imbued with the breath of Vietnamese culture and nature.

Dzung is a prominent guitarist and music producer in the Vietnamese rock scene. Starting with the death metal band Final Stage, Dzung quickly asserted his talent through hit EPs and albums such as “Vo Toi” (2006) or “Sàn giá cuối” (2010). In 2011, he co-founded Hạc San – Vietnam’s leading progressive metal band, with impressive products such as “Set danh ngang troi” (2015) and “Hon – trang – mau” (2020). In addition, Dzung’s solo career also made its mark with the album “Dzanca” (2021), combining progressive metal and world music.

With memories associated with the ship, Dzung opens the album with profound personal experiences – from his first trip as a child to his business trips and tours across the country. For him, each trip is not only a journey of discovery but also a source of inspiration for composition, to better perceive the beauty and diversity of Vietnamese culture. Therefore, the album is not simply a musical product, but also an important milestone after more than 20 years of dedication on the artistic path. Each melody in the album is a blend of the typical sounds of each region with Dzung’s unique creative style, aiming to bring the audience a new perspective on Vietnamese music through the lens of a wandering artist.

Sharing about his latest brainchild, Dzung confided: “The ‘music’ train has taken me on a journey through many emotions for more than 20 years: from sublimation, pride, hope to anxiety, pain and disappointment. During that journey, sometimes I was a traveler, sometimes I was a train driver, sometimes I was a ticket inspector and sometimes I was a fare dodger. I have traveled, persistently and courageously, on that ‘music’ train with 9 albums released from 2003 until now… ”

Dzung hopes that with “2025′ – Good or not so good”, the audience will not only enjoy the music but also immerse themselves in the journey of discovering Vietnamese culture and history. Each melody, each sound in the album contains stories, the imprints of each land, reflecting the breath of life through the lens of music.
